I'm trying to replace my head-light bulbs with Silverstars.
Problem is I can't get the white retainer ring loose. (Got the plug off no problem).
It IS suppose to turn, right?? Cause, this thing won't move!
Am I doing something wrong???

 

Apply some elbow grease and it will free right up.

 

try to push it in as you turn, I had the same problem putting my silverstars in (great bulbs)

If you still cant get it, take a flathead screwdriver and very gently tap on it with a hammer. Make sure you are moving it in the counterclockwise rotation. Very gently!

 

Thanks guys. It's pouring out now & getting dark. Tomorrow I'll try it again.
I was just afraid I was gonna break the thing twisting as hard as I was on it!
Guess I'll twist harder. Gonna be a REAL tuff time getting to the pass-side.
