lots of problems which to do first?

Default lots of problems which to do first?

well to start my gas miage sucks to what it used to be i meen i went from 320m to the tank to 230 a tank.
to find out i have an exhaust leak in to areas, power steering fluids leaks not sure if its in the pump or rack and pinion. lots of squeaks and squeals under hood( most likely fromt he fliud leak) its time for spark plugs. has 89,000m on it never changed the o2 sonsor and i think i have it all lol. my main concern is the gas milage and power steering fluid leak.

I would change the O2 sensor and fix your exhaust leak.

as for the power steering leak. I wold pressure wash everything off under there and then start it up and look for leaks. is it a big leak or a small leak?

If it's a small leak you could try one of the leak stop power steering fluids. It worked on my uncles old Ranger for years, never driped again. That's only going to work if it's a smaller leak though. As Jon said do the O2 sensor, it is probobly most of your milage problem. Plugs could help that some too. Don't want to die of exhaust fumes, so you should really fix that soon too.

i dont know what you would call a small leak, i meen it would probably go empty in about a month if i didnt add some every week. last i got it inspected they said it was the rack and pinion leaking but i dont know if i can trust them i want to see it for myself. thanks for the help guys. and as for the exhaust anyone know of a good place online, im debating on doing it mylsef or a shop, cause i want to do the cat coverter to and the universal converters are alot cheaper but they say it might need some work done to the pipes cause the converter could be longer or shorter being a universal. and which is better flowmaster or magnaflow on mufflers?

Power steering pressure hose would be the first thing to look at. Mine is leaking, my brothers 05 ram did and his wifes caravan did the same.

On my end, I lost a caliper last night on the way home. Wonderfull phenolic caliper pistons. Thanks dodge for using substandard parts (should bemetal instead of that crappy phenolic piston)in an IMPORTANT SYSTEM.[:@]

I prefer magnaflow exhaust. and I have a magnaflow highflow cat too. I would go to an independant exhaust company and get them to do it. it will be alot cheaper


and I was drivin today and my gas tank strap broke[:@] so it's heldup buy a ratchet strap for right now. I'm lucky I had one behind the seat.

it was on the 88. but what I couldnt get, was they were new straps. I put them on this summer when I had to drop the tank for the sending unit. they werent rusty at all, they just snapped. I think I'm gonna make my own so I know they wont fail.and new ones are freakin expensive.
