Ok here it is once more...im looking at doing a body lift. 3" im cheap and cant afford the suspension lift. I just want the look is all. has anyone done a 3" body lift on a 2000 4x4 with the 4.7 L motor? if so how difficult was it? thanks for being patient and not yelling at me that its been on a million other posts. Thanks

Honestly, just save up for the suspension lift. After installing a few bodylifts myself, I wont even touch one again. That $200 body lift kit usually ends up costing ALOT more by time everything is said and done.

It's not very hard at all as long as your the handy & mechanical type. Definately a good all day Saturday job if your working in your driveway. The Performance Accessories Kit I used had pretty good directions which the stuff you need to worry about is all obvious anyway. (ie. brake lines, ground cables, and fan shroud)The only thing noone tells you about when you purchase is you need to cut and extend the transfer case shift linkage. This is done with a small weld job. However the things you need for the linkage, steering shaft and brake lines is all included.
