flush.. id bring to a transmission specialist... u can do the fluid chage by yourself easily, drop the pan, scrape the old gasket off pan and trans, take out old filter, make sure you get old filter o ring, replace with new filter, clean pan magnet of metal partical dust, if it looks like a porcupine, not good, put it back in pan, put pan back on trans with new gasket.. and fill with fluid, test drive and periodically check fluid level during the test run, and from a personal tip, doing about 25 mph, make a 90 degree turn, not sharp but an intersection turn, if she pops out of gear, revs up, then slams back in gear, your low on fluid

I would say just use a good quality ATF-4 and a OE filter, that's what I did and it shifts like a champ.

you only really need to do a flush if it's acting up.

I got a tranny flush done on mune last year, since it had almost 200,000kms last year and who knows what the owner before me did to it. I found origional plugs, cap, and rotor on it when I did a tune up on it.but it shifted soo much better. and I think it was under $150, I cant remember. how many miles do you got on your truck?

I'd just do the fluid/filter change. then next time do a tranny flush. and you should be good.
