Default The weirdest thing I've ever seen.

Ok, I was driving home Thursday night from work, it was raining, but not that hard to keep my wipers on all the time. What I did was I turned them on for a quick second, then turned them off, but they didn't turn off. They kept going, so what I did was I turned them on full blast, and then turned it back off. That seemed to cure it, but when I got home, I noticed that I didn't have headlights. I also couldn't lock my doors using my remote thingy, or using the power locks. Nothing would work, except for the windows, but the truck would run fine other than that.

The next morning, after moving cars around so I could drive to work. I just happened to click the lock button on my remote, and the truck locked up. I go out there and turn on all the lights and all of a sudden they work fine like nothing happened....

I'm completely lost as to what happened. I was just wondering if someone had an idea, or if its happened to anyone else.

BTW, I'll probably be posting some pics of her tomorrow

kenny id like to help you but i dont even attempt to work on those new-fangled 4.7's. i would say you've got a bad wire splice somewhere, but i wouldnt even know where to begin if i looked at it.

i cant really help you but i know that on my truck if its not raining that hard if you just tap the end of the turn signal switch, where the windsheild washers are, it will just flip the wipers back and forth acouple of times and then stop, but mine only puts out washer fluid if you hold the button idk just my .02

Mine had a similar issue
I turned my blinker on and my wipers came on and didn't turn off until i shut the truck off

its a 2002 dodge dakota, 4.7, its not a 4x4, limited slip rear end though. I also have a '88 dakota, 3.9, 5 speed.

After using my wipers on delay once the next day while turned off they would just start going, i would turn them on the off and they would stop for a bit then do it again they did this all the way to work about 5 times, it has been3 months and they have not done it even once since then not sure what went goofy but guess the computer was doing something weird, I could not tell that anything else was affected in my case.
