Well have been tossing around the idea of building my own or getting a cheap one off ebay. I was browsing ebay and came across this one. It looks kinda looks like a k&n but It looked a bit wide and bulky in the pic but then I started to think maybe the wider tube will be better so bought it for 30+shipping total was 38.00. Got it yesterday and I was surprised to see it came with a real k&n at least if its real came in a k&n box along with papers. Anyway took 10 min to install and my truck seems different my exhaust is louder at 2k higher and the low end is better. Overall im happy with it

Anyway here it is installed. Came with a tb gasket and bracket. I didnt get the bracket on yet ill do that later.

thats one fat intake tube. looks good. probably sounds much better!

 

Yeah its fat but if you compare it to a k&n or some other intake they all seem real small so Im saying fat is better lol

 

i would buy something to cover that bitch up though, like an outerware like a cover to help protect it and keep it clean, that's why i got the s and b because it has the box around it

 

or get a k&n filter cover thing.

 

I got a outerwears cover for my k&n on my atv I dont think it will fit on my filter tho ill have to check. Yeah the box is nice if you do a lot of mudding or really dusty. my buddy has the k&n cai on his ram they only have the heat shield for the engine the rest is all open and 20k later still no problems even with the summertime offroading. I know this one is kinda ugly looking but hey it works and how often does someone ask to look under my hood.. so far 0 lol
