Default Help me decode my build sheet

What the heck does some of this mean? I've bolded the few that I don't understand. Looks like my truck came pretty loaded but if there are desirable options missing, I have some u-pull-its nearby. Can you guys see some things missing you'd want?

"Next Generation Engine Controller"... why would this be optional?

"Next Generation Engine Controller"

2003 was a transition year from JTEC to the NGC for many trucks (and cars). Depending on the drive train, it could be either one for that year. When looking in diagnostics or wiring, it will specify "NGC" or "GAS"

NGC also has 4 connectors, the 4th being the TCM that is integrated. JTEC only has 3.

CHSML is the third brake light

"Mutually Exclusive Package" Is that chick you met at the bar with the deep voice...that wasn't really a chick.

Well, I wish I wasn't drinking a soda when I read that last paragraph. I've got a clean up job to do now.

Thanks for the info. I wonder why the controller was listed under options?

Each model had their own set of codes as far as customer preferred packages. Might be able to get more answers if you call and ask them

What is this switch to the right of the shifter, just below the vents?

Default Next Generation Controller

I was wondering about this NGC that became an issue when looking at O2 sensor listings. I found these charts on a site about engine building. Hope it helps someone.
