Bumpy ride after new steering components, need some help...
As the title states I have installed new steering components. I did all 4 tie rods and all 4 ball joints. It was done in a 2004 SXT, 3.7l, 2wd. I got it aligned at a shop that gave me a detailed printout of the before and after alignment information. Before the new parts the handling felt fine, as did most bumps, even though several rods and joints were shot. Now, after the new parts and the alignment the steering feels a little off but bumps have become far worse. Mostly on the drivers side. After a single bump you can feel shuttering in the wheel as if you just hit multiple bumps. Sometimes it even causes some pull. It doesn't do this for every little bump, but some just feel dangerous from the pull. Just wondering if this is normal with new steering since everything is stiff or if I should have the shop that did the alignment check it out again?
Dodgevity is correct all shops put max pressure in tires I find 32 to 33 gives you a softer ride and doesn't present any tire wear problems try a lower setting. I would just rotate the tires more often to be sure of even wear.
