i have seen the pt cruiser in person which had the v10 in it while i lived in detroit. unless you have a limitless project budget, i would say that you are insane for even suggesting it. i dont even know how much that motor/tranny is, even used. you are looking at a cost of at least $5,000-$7,000 just in parts and fabrication. you are forgetting that you will need to also get new wheels and tires to fit the new rear end you will have to buy. i would bet it is safe to say that a project like that would cost you at least $10k-$12k. (and i have a feeling that is on the low end)

Yeah. Some guy in Idaho put a V10 in his dakota. It fits (barely). Think he still had teh stock rear end.

Longer than you think. I've seen 500hp mopar big blocks run for years on a 8 1/4 without an issue. Seen a stock 383 decimate a dana 60.

it's all in the way you drive the truck. I seen kids blow up new cars thinking they are race cars.

+1! it is always funny when you are behind some hot shot kid whose daddy just bought him a brand new bmw or mercedes in a standard tranny and all you can smell is the clutch roasting like a pig at a bbq.

In reality its not that much longer than a 360. From the pic he had to use an electric fans mounted in front of teh rad. Just takes time.
