Default Stuck in first

Hello

Thank you in advance for any advice/ Input, it is appreciated.

I have a 1998 ram 1500 5.9L 4x4 sport about 280xxx mi

I just rebuilt the 46re and everything was working perfectly for about a week maybe a little longer. I was gonna try the mountain and my 4x4 vac lines ended up being switched I realized after a little investigation. So I switched them back and now my tranny will not shift up from first in 4x4 or 2 high, still the same.

Did some research and tried pulling my 8 pin connector and manuel shifting, and I have some weird results that I'm not sure how to interpret.
With the 8 pin connector unplugged, I can manual shift from park to reverse and drive ( this is not an issue with the connector plugged in ),

So I start in 1 and upshift manually to 2 but I did not notice a shift then I went to D and and it shifted.

I turned off o/d and felt the downshift when I went from D to 2.

Like I mentioned every shift was working flawlessly before I went under it to fix the 4x4.

I'm not sure what to make of these manuel shift results. Any help would be welcomed thank you again

Also I should mention the first run f was check fluid and it was low so I added 3/4 of a quart and it.was.square.in the middle of the cross hatch and was checked in neutral running after being brought up to temp

O/D off button does nothing when the trans is unplugged.

Is your shift linkage properly adjusted? Is the PCM throwing any codes? (It likely is now, after unplugging the trans.... ) Does the speedometer work? Clear codes, take it for a drive. See what happens.
