Default 2004 Hemi Fuel Choice ?

I have been filling my tank with 89 Octane like the Manual Recommends to get the Most Power out of the HEMI. Now that gas Prices are over $3.25 a Gallon I am thinking about switching to 87. Is there REALLY a differance in Power, Performance, ETC.

Thanks in Advanced !

When gas prices spiked in Michigan last year I switched to 87 octane. I can't really say I noticed any change in performance and my engine never knocked. I probably ran 87 for a little over a year with no problems.

Just like the owner's manual states, 89 is recommended, but it also states that 87 is sufficient. Just don't go any less than 87 and premium is a complete waste.
