I just purchased a very clean and well kept 2004 Durango with the 5.7 hemi. My questions is this. I have a boat thatI haul and will be adding a Hitch to the Durango. ShouldI add the transmission cooler and power steering cooler that the factory towing package has? My boat is prob 21 footer and weighs about 3800lbs max when fully loaded with fish, gas, and trailer. Obviously I guess thesmart thing to do would to be safe and just add it, but do i really need it? Would my towing situation really require it? Thank you for the info.

 

You'll be fine without it. The 04 with Hemi's and 3.55 gears can pull 7450lbs, if you have the 3.92 gears you can pull closer to 8000lbs.
