Default What to look for when buying?

Hi, everyone! I'm new and am looking for info on what the pros and cons are about the second gen Durango. my brother is looking for a reliable 4X4 SUV for his wife to drive and get their three children where they need to be. I am new to dodge suv's and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
jeff

Most important thing is to make sure it was well maintained. Ask for receipts. Proper fluid changes at the right intervals. I'd run a carfax on it to make sure it has no accident\salvage\flood history as well. I'm very happy with my 04 so far.

I love my Durango. It's an 04 and so far no problems. I have the 5.7 Limited so I love the power. The downside is gas mileage. But it's expected with an suv. I am 6'4" and have plenty of room in it. To me it handles nicley exept on bumpy roads the back end tends to hop a bit because of the solid rear axle. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I paid about $13,500 in '06 with about 63,000 miles. Only a few more upgrades and she'll be right where I want her.

As far as convenience I made sure my wife's Durango came with leather. We have a 3 year old and leather is so much easier to clean than cloth. It's worth the extra IMO so I don't have to scrub cloth seats. Other than that, we ended up getting the limited so it came with everything except they didn't put nav systems in 04's so that kinda sucks.
