Default Hearing major wind with closed windows?

Date of Purchase: 9-26-04
Vehicle: 2004 Dodge Durango Limited (Hemi)
Options: DVD/Leather/Runners etc...

Problem:

1) Drove vehile off lot onto freeway noticed pulling to right ?
2) Loud wind sound coming from side mirrors as well as top
door jam where rear door meets front door.

Now this is our second durango, as I had a 99 SLT that didn't
have any issues like this.

Driving down freeway in the '04 > 55mph you find yourself continually
trying to close windows to escape that howling wind noise. Being I spent $30k +
for this car you'd think it wouldn't have all this cabin noise.

I'm seriously looking for options on this. Don't want to return it , as I couldn't really
if I wanted too. But is there anything (aftermarket) that could be done to
get rid of this howling wind issue we experience.

My 4yr old even says, 'Daddy the other Durango didn't sound like this'. Now that
my friends was a comment from a neutral party.

So if there are any recommendations about the Noise and steering issue it would
be appreciated.

Have a great day/night.

That's not right.
Where do you live?
Was this car damaged? I'd check into that one.

My 04 (ordered in Dec 03 delivered Jan 04) is very quiet with the windows up. Are you sure the sunroof is closed fully.

If your truck was damaged (and fixed) I believe you should have been notified.
Go back to your dealer and have them check out the truck. The warranty is there for a reason, use it.

take it back my durango is quiet. this should be fixed. did you buy it as a new or used . either way any wrecked car should have been divulged. even if it was wrecked this shouldent happen. if it was wrecked and they didnt tell you make them take it back. they kinda have to tell you that stuff . if ti was fixed at that dealer they cant say they didnt know. if you bought it new make them fix it.

It may not be neccessarily wrecked. I have a 2000 Durango that I bought used in 2001. My driver's door did the same thing. But it did not howl too much. But the wind noise was really bad if you have a side or head wind against the durango. I can even see the top part of driver door flopping each way by as much as 1/2 inch.

Took it to the dealership and they have their own body shop. They had to readjust the door hinges as the door was not properly aligned. After the minor adjustments, my driver's door now closes really tight and the wind noise is gone! Dealer says, this can possibly happen when you open your door and the wind catches it and swings it wide open pretty hard. Causes the hinges on the door to be slightly out of alignment which will affect how tight your door closes. So on windy days, I am really cautious on not letting the wind catch my door when opening and swing it wide open.
