2005 Durango tie rod problems
my 05 durango has 12k miles on it. I took it into the shop for a popping sound. It dosent leave the road and gets babied they told me the tie rod ends were bad? Has anyone else seen this problem. They replaced the ends wonder if this is going to help or happen again???

Were those the inners or the outers?? My wifes 05GCV had a bad inner TR at 23k and a leaking rack to boot, so they replaced it. Did you have the service done at the dealer since it should have been under warranty?? Interestingly DC will not replace inner TR'S , and if they wear out their cure is to replace the entire rack which is ok as long as its under warranty.
My guess is you got some less than great oem parts off the assembly line and hopefully this will be the end of the issue.
