Default Recall on 2004-2006 Durango

Instrument Panel Recall
DaimlerChrysler Corporation has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in some2004 through 2006 model year Dodge Durango vehicles. The problem is... Under certain operating conditions, an integrated circuit located in the instrumentcluster of your vehicle (VIN: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) may overheat and result in aninstrument panel fire. What your dealerwill do...DaimlerChrysler will repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). To dothis, your dealer will modify the instrument cluster wiring, test the instrument clusterand replace it if necessary. Instrument clusters that do not require replacement will bereprogrammed. The work will take about 1½ hours to complete. However, additionaltime may be necessary depending on service schedules. What you mustdo to ensure yoursafety...Simply contact your dealer right away to schedule a service appointment.
