Bridgestone Dueler A/T Aveo. Agressive, very quiet, great in snow and dry. Check out the very high rating on this tire at TireRack website. My favorite tire on the 04 Hemi Limited that tows a 4,800 lb trailer all summer long.

TR is a good place to see how others have reviewed a particular tire.

I would also look at the Michelin LTX, Firestone Destination LE, and Dunlop Grandtrek.

There are alot of choices in your size. Don

I really love the Michelin Cross Terrains. Very similar to their LTX M/S tires. They stick like glue in the snow and are quiet on pavement. Expensive but they last 70K+ miles.

The LTX M/S are also excellent but last time I checked they do not make them in the Durango OEM sizes. At least not for my 2004. May have changed since my last look.

Don't even think about the LTX A/S. Worthless in snow!

Goodyear Fortera Triple Tread is what I run! Awesome tire, quiet, smooth and great traction. Looks really nice and aggressive.

O.K. Ive done about 150 hours of tire research on the durango tires & not just tire rack.com...Dueler Revo probably the best tire out there but $$$$$$$$. I know this from research and that my friends have them on their suvs. They travel about 150 miles each way 1 time a week to work, and believe me they are on the hop. So total is 300. I driveprobably 275 miles to work one way, one time a week for a toal of 550 miles. I settled for a tire known as Nokian Vatiiva made in Finland($165 mounted & balanced per tire). I didnt buy mine here but If you live near PA.there is casetireservice.com probably the cheapest tire prices on the east coast. I know this because my friends and I compared various tires we owned on all our vehicles and case was noticeably cheaper actually fairly close to tirerack prices but mounted etc. Remember tire rack has $75 ship price for the tire and then the hassle to take to the garage. They are an aggressive high mileage tire with A traction B temp rating. Alot of wide er than goodyear cleanouts on the edges of the tire and a noticeably state-of-the-art agressive tire tread design.I believe they are 265/65/17. Heres my review since used since Dec 07. Nothing will stop you with these tires. I have driven through many upstate NY snowstorms when warnings were given to stay home. They rout the snow & ice. When drivers were doing 15 and 45 you could drive by in the passing lane that isnt even plowed like they were standing still. Emergency handling/recovery like going onto the shoulder of the road when you think you are at the point of no return is on the money. Crossing over the slush into another lane not a problem at all.Only things I didnt like was tire pressure set at 33lbs which is the factory setting for tires on a 04 durango(check the sticker on the driver door it will tell you). I had to play around alot with them. At 33lbs in 45 degree weather gave the vehicle a somewhat feeling that the tires were noticeably soft on the vehicle, kinda didnt handle right. Then experimented and found that about 40lbs at 45 degrees is about right. Mind you they feel just slightly stiffer than the Goodyear Wrangler R/S that came on the vehicle. When it gets cold out say in the 30's I had experimented with many tire pressures and found that no more than 44 lbs of air was about right. Like I said they are very slighter stiffer than the stock tire. The R/S Wrangler is a pretty good summer tire, they ride real nice, they cut through the rain escpecially built up puddles next to the center seperating barriers on NY highways, but they absolutely horendous in the winter. They dont stop,go, or get reasonable tractionworth a crap in snow or ice. Lets put it this way I wouldnt have my wife in kid in Durango with Wranglers in the winter. One other odd thing about when I first had the nokians is that the tires at high speeds gave the feeling of, I am not sure how to really describe this, but maybe oversteer would be the word, where you get the feeling you are not confident at high speeds. I think when you get the air dialed in the feeling goes somewhat away. It is actually a deceptive, because the tires really hookup.

I had stock Goodyear Sr-A lasted 95K. I just bought Yokohama Geolanders for $508 installed for Discount Tire. So far so good, lets see if they last 95K, or if the truck does.
