i have a 1998 durango for some reason i went to a store park the truck and later try to start it up with the remote stater and it didn`t want to start so i went out and try it with the key on the ignigtion and nothing found out one ligth was on but after a jump start still nothing its cranking to fast could it be timing belt

Do you hear your starter running? Most likely the starer solenoid.

Your Durango has a timing chain, not a belt. While it is possible that the chain has jumped time, it is very rare these days. In most instances, the chain is made to last the life of the engine.

my guess you either have no fuel or no spark. Is the check engine light on?? Do you hear the fuel pump prime then pause for starting when you turn the key to run??

How many miles on the rig, and how old is your battery???
