I was unable to locate a cabin air filter in my Durango ltd 4.7 with automatic climate control. My old Dodge Grand Caravan, equipped with air conditioner only,has one under the dash, and I won't say it was useless. Is there a cabin filter in Durango? If not, is there any way to install one?

To my knowledge your D is not equiped with a cabin air filter. Im pretty sure it doesnt, but if so it would be mentioned in your owners manual as a maint. issue. Is there a reason you want one?

 

I assume that it would prevent road dust from entering the cabin and my lungs, right?In my Dodge Caravan, I've changed it every year, and it always had some dust on it.

Since i have a 99D i cant really place the location of the blower intake, but 90% under your wiper cowl. If you have a little imagination im sure you could rig up a filter over the intake.
