This is my first post on this forum... hello everyone! We have a 2004 Dodge Durango Limited, the display light for the A/C and heater sometimes doesn't "light up". The A/C and heater work just fine even though we can't see the display. It gets kind of frustrating because you can't see what you are setting the temperature too. A few months ago this would only happen once in a while but now its to the point where it happens almost everytime you start it up.

Sounds like maybe a short in the wiring in the console or maybe the little bulb in there is scewed up?!? Have you contacted a dealership yet? They may tell you that the whole console needs to be replaced, and you can imagine what they'll want to charge for that.

Best advise, look on eBay or a junk yard, and replace the whole console...it can't be that hard to get out...

 

Thanks for the reply, I am trying to avoid the high cost of the dealer. I was just wondering if other people out there had this same issue and what the fix was for it. If all else fails I will have the dealer fix it.
