The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said vehicles affected by the recalls included 71,763 Dodge Durango SUVs from the 2004 model year, which have battery cables that can abrade and potentially trigger a short circuit or underhood fire.

Oh that recall. It takes about 35 seconds to perform and involves no parts. No, you will not be getting a loan paid off or a new car or anything else. A recall simply means that you need to take your vehicle into the dealer so they can fix/alter/replace/inspect something. I only know of 1 recall by any manufacter that they actually took your car and that Nissan back in about 1986 or so.
