Default 06' DURANGO HEADERS

I am looking at spending some cash to give my 5.7 hemi a bit more juice. I already put in an Airraid intake, and flowmaster exhaust last year. This year ive been looking into headers. Im not looking to race or anything but its nice to have the power there when you need it. Ive got two quotes, one for $699.00(Gibson S/S), and one for $1013.00(JBA S/S). I was told by a dealer that I should not spend money on this because it would actually slow me down, for every day driving. The headers would only kick in at higher RPM, and they would take from my low end torque. Any feedback on this?
I like the Gibson price but dont know what id be missing out on by not going JBA, or like that one dealer said "dont do it at all"

They are full of it. Headers are the #1 bolt on for performance. It adds torque across the full range of RPM. Got to let your engine breath.

A little late, but good luck.
