I just bought an 04 Durango Limited w/ about every option including keyless entry. I was messing around w/ the remote key and discovered that if you press the lock button 3 times it will start. The bad part is that if it has been sitting for awhile and I start it remotely the alarm goes off. I went to the dealership and they were clueless. They told me that it was original keyfob remotes, but it must be an aftermarket remote start because the 04's didn't havethat as an option. I didn't know you could use the original keyfob remote for an aftermarket starter. Can anyone shed some light on this? I did find that if I leave one of the keys in the ignition then I can use the other key to remotely start it and the alarm doesn't go off.
