I have an 04 durango limited with a hemi around 48k on her i have been having some trouble. today i get in truck and engine light is on drive 5 miles come back and turn off key and remove but the truck is still running. it will rub for 5-10 seconds and then she will shut down. any idea's for a quick fix i am leaving for town and pulling a camper tommorow afternoon!

 

I read a similar thread on another forum with the same issues....user never came back to tell what he did!
My guess would be the instrument cluster or the ignition switch.
Have you had the instrument cluster recall done? That was out about a year ago or so...

 

I had jsut bought my truck used about 2 weeks ago so i have no idea if the recall was done

 

Either ask your dealer or e-mail Chrysler customer service your VIN they will let you know about open recall's.

 

THANKS! i wanted to ask you a ? also? did you notice a big difference in performance when you put your e fan in and took out the stock fan?
