Default Durango 2005 4.7L: idling problems

Hi guys!

Maybe someone can help me: my -D- is accelerating itself from 600rpm to almost 2000rpm for seconds and at intervals. I thought it was related to the A/C compressor because when I turn it off by pressing the A/C switch the engine returns to normal idling. But now, it is doing it even with the A/C off. The behavior is also present while driving. It's like I were pressing and releasing the gas pedal.

I ideas that I can take with me to the Dealer? Or, could it be something that I need to clean?

Thanks,

Default RE: Durango 2005 4.7L: idling problems: SOLVED!

I removed the air intake hoses and cleaned the trottle interior with a clean rag and some Carb Cleaner (sprayed to the rag, not to the trottle). Also, removed the trottle position sensor (TPS) and cleaned with Carb Cleaner. On the TPS I took my time so it can dry well before re-installing.

Right now everythign is working great. No more idling issues. Still under test but at this time everything running smooth again.

;-)
