Drive by wire??
2005 Durango Limited, AWD, 5.7 Hemi with 38,000 miles.
I've had the D for about 3 weeks now and the acceleration is starting to annoy me. When coming off a stop and accelerating hard I can feel the vehicle jerk or bounce some once the RPM's start getting up to about 3500 and above. This will happen in the middle of first and second gears. It doesn't happen under normal acceleration or any other time (it actually runs really smooth). I took it to the dealership today and they said they couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. The sales manager told me that since the throttle is "drive by wire" then the jerking is normal. I find that hard to believe that it would be designed that way. I've done all the 30,000 mile maintenance and gone through 3 tanks of good gas to rule out any of that. Anyone have this issue too?
