spare tire disappointment
I have a 2006 Durango Limited with 18" wheels and a couple of weeks ago got a sidewall nail puncture in the passenger rear tire and needed to replace it. I thought I would swap the driver rear tire for the spare tire so the two rear tires could have the same starting tread. I knew the spare wheel was steel but come to find out it was a 17" wheel. In 2006 the 18" wheels were an option but I would have thought that with the upgrade in wheel size it would have included at least a matching spare tire! Is that common practice in the industry or Dodge? Very disappointing and cheap for an expensive vehicle.
