Just installed HID conversion kit on my 05 Hemi Durango. Install went fine, no harness adapter so I had to cut off stock wiring harness and splice in wires for the conversion kit. Everything works fine except for the fact that when I turn off the headlights, they keep flickering for a little. I assume this is the ballasts still drawing/discharging power??? The real issue is that if I turn off the lights while the engine is running it dies. My wiring job was pretty straitforward so I don't know what's going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
hidplanet.com has the chrysler flicker issue under control. Also, make sure those are aimed pretty low, otherwise you are endangering everyone with glare.
Finally fixed it! Installed relay yesterday and everything is back to normal. Lights look great, no more flicker, and I can shut them off without my engine cutting out!
