I just picked up a 2004 Durango Limited. I can get DVDs to play in the system and I can hear them through the speakers in the vehicle, but I cannot figure out how to get the sound to come through only the headphones. Anyone know what I need to do? It is not listed in the online manual I downloaded. Any help would be appreciated. I have a long drive with my kids this afternoon and would rather not listen to their movie! LOL. Thanks!

 

Mine's a 2005 with 6-CD radio/CD, so yours may differ somewhat, but on mine there is a "mode" button just to the right of the power/volume ****. Pressing this changes it from DVD to CD to Radio etc., so while the DVD is playing, "DVD" mode on the radio gives you the DVD audio, CD mode gives you the CD audio, etc. Turning the radio off should also work, if you don't want to hear any sort of audio.

Hope this helps -- too late for the trip you mentioned, though.
