Default New tires for the HERMI coming!

Finally talked the wife into changing from the Nitto TerraGrapplers to 420S! Hope it works out I'll never hear the end of it. The Terra's tread wore excellent 50K and going. Starting to see some dry rot cracking on the sidewalls and we are taking a 700 mi trip to pick up a dalmation in GA. These 420S tread pattern are wild and look good for wet/dry traction. So I am promising better handling overall (new tires will do that too!). What do you think? 305/50r20's I post some before and after pics later.

Not as a aggressive stance though, which is what will disappoint my wife the most.

Depends on what you are going to be doing. Those two types of tires are WAY different in purpose.

Remember its 2wd and the terra's were just for the aggressive look. So really no use involved.
Just spent the weekend in GA and we bought a show quality dalmation (liver color female). She is a beaut!
The 420S rode great and did not grab the road like the terra's.
I'm in SC on business for a couple of weeks, I took pics but I don't have my download cable or a memory card reader. I will upload pics of the old verse new on the truck.
I followed my wife to GA from FL and the freakin' truck looked awesome, even when we passed newer (or they passed us) Durango's. Having those large tires and width set that truck off and balance's it. When comparing it think how bad a El' Delrado looks with 265/78R14's.

Here's the pics, timing is good with the recent "sticky" for the new size of Nitto's Terra Grappler. Remember mine are 305/50/R20's.

Here is a pic of the old Nitto Terra Grappler's and a dirty 04 limited 2wd Hermi right before I took it to have the new treads installed.

I would recommend Nitto's. There actually is more road noise with the 420S, makes sense, more actual rubber is rolling on the pavement. The ride is very good with them both. I did not take a picture from the back but these tires fill that void of the truck's shape to the pavement. She still looks aggressive to me with the 420S.

That is a very interesting tire pattern. I personally would prefer a tad more bite on the outer edge for cornering I think. However with the look being so unique, I could over look that as long as it didn't slide on higher speed cornering, etc.

Congrats!
