Default Roof rack cross rails...

Hi all. New to this forum. Looking forward to learning lots from you folks. I have a 05 Durango and had the roof rack cross bars installed when we purchased the vehicle last spring. Just putting the vehicle back on the road now and remembered I don't have a clue as to how to adjust or remove the OEM cross bars. They are the type which lock are were supposed to be original equip. as they came from a dealer.

Any help out there?

Thanks in advance....Fraser.

Strange...I went all the way down to my garage to look at mine and saw that I do not have any cross bars. Only have the side rails running ...well down the side, but that is it. After a few beers I realized my wife has a Trailblazer and I could look at hers (the roof rack). Her cross bars have a lever on the end (where it connects to the side main rails) that snap out and then the cross bar can move backward or forward until you snap it back in. Well, hope this helps, if not get lots of rope and drive slowly,
FF

I have the same thing. It is a Mopar OEM cross rails. The dealer should give you a hex screw driver with it. What you need to do is unlock it using the key they gave you. (hopefully you got a key) Then slide the rubber pad back until you can see the hex screws. Loosen the hex screws and move (or remove)
