Got a 2005 durango 4.7 AWD/4WD that stalls when i come to a stop, but not all the time. No DTC's either when this happens. It also has stalled twice now while driving down the road like 55-60 mph and then wont move just revs up and both times the trans filter is plugged. new filter and fluid and it drives just fine. Its only got 46,000 miles. My thought is that the torque convertor is getting hot and locking up thats why it stalls when i come to a stop. So im wondering if someone has had this problem or knows what my problem is. Im thinking it needs a transmission. Also another question, i put on a hitch but it doesnt have any trailer light wiring back there do i have to basically wire in all the electrical for the trailer plug hook up or is there a pigtail back there i can plug into.

Oh yeah forgot to mention i also got a P0731 code. incorrect ratio first gear
