HI,

Can anyone or a dodge expert please tell me what AC gas does a 2004 Durango SLT + takes and how many pounds. Is it R 134 or something else. I know there is a kit out there to refill the gas in the lines but where in the lines. I can see there is a valve on the AC line , is this where i need to hook up with the hoses. PLEASE HELP !

If your A/C system needs more freon, chances are there is a leak somewhere. I would suggest taking it to someone that can recharge it correctly and then leak-check it. Anything less would be a waste of money because over a short period of time, it will leak right back out.

 

There is a low side and hi side. You use 134-A. under the hood there is a lable that tells you everything. It is usually on the front clip. You can't just fill it all the way. 40psi should be full but according to the outside temp that changes.
