Default keyless entry not working

My battery went completely dead on 2005 durango, keyless entry has not worked since. Tried second fob and still no luck, also replaced battery in first fob. I heard the key(s) may need to be reprogrammed. How is this done?

Usually at the dealer. I know when a CTM fails, the keys need matched to the replacement CTM via the dealers computer. My guess is they will charge you 1/2 an hour labor to take care of it. Thats about $38 here. I do not know of anyone programming their key fobs on their own.

With that said, I am surprised to see a dead battery in the D *or* the FOB caused it to loose the sync/codes.
