Default Electric fan staying on?

Hi guys, Dodge newbie here!

I'll introduce myself over in the newbie section but, I want to get straight to business...

I have a 2008 SLT Hemi with only about 2000miles on it. I've noticed that after the engine has been shut off, the fan still keeps on running! My wife noticed it today, runnning at about 2 hours after shut off!

I know these systems work with the temp gauge to make sure it doesn't overheat and Im living in Dubai where the temps are high, but that seems a little ridiculous.

What do you think?

Great forum BTW, can't wait to start browsing.

you should be under warranty yeah!!
BUT what is the status of Dodge dealers in Dubai??

The fuse and relays are in the underhood intergrated powermodule..
I would pull the relays first the low then hi.. then when you ID which will shut down fan.
swaping relays will then determine if bad relay OR FCM (front control module)....

Take it back to the dealer. 2 hours is too much!

Ok, Dodge completely flat this morning. Really pissed off because I knew there was something not right and was gonna take it to the dealer on my next day off. The first new motor i've bought and the first time i've been stuck!

Anyway, it's under warranty so the dealer is sending the recovery now. Will let you know what the problem was.

Thanks

Turned out to be a faulty relay, kept the fan running all the time until the battery died. They changed the relay and charged the battery, under warranty of course.

Driving it back from the stealers, I must admit, I love this SUV! I sold my 2006 Limited Commander to buy this and i'm so impressed with the drive. It even feels bigger, and I thought the Jeep was big! Bang for buck, it doesn't come much better than the Durango SLT!

Happy new owner despite the warranty claim after only 100km of driving...

Thanks
