Word from Chrysler; they will not be uploading any software updates for prior model year vehicles. They are looking at changing the criteria for future models only. They did design the light to come on with 4.5 to 6.0 gallons of fuel left in the vehicle. Might not be the best answer, but it is the answer.
We did allow the fuel pump to drain the tank on one and we where able to get very close to the stated capacity back in the vehicle.

Gentlemen:
Also remember that DC wants you to refuel before the tank gets too low as thepump is submerged in gaswhich acts as a cooling mechanism for the pump. My 01 with its 25 gallon tank usually has 5 gallons or so left when the overhead DTE reads 0.
