Bone dry fluid is never normal. The damage was done. Get it professionally evaluated.

Default Transmission issues normal?

Hey everyone... We bought a 2004 Durango in the beginning of Dec 2015. Immediately noticed a HARD down shift while slowing down at a stop sign, we were right about 20 mph when it happened. We took it to a transmission shop, he said the torque injector welds were bad so he replaced that, also replaced 2nd and 4th because they had gone bad. He did this and gave us a warranty for 2 years. We picked it up yesterday, drove it home and guess what??? It's still doing it! Is this normal for them to down shift so hard? It feels like i'm hitting a pothole in the road but I'm clearly not.
