I have the 5.7 Hemi 2004 Durango
To K&N or not to K&N.


Thoughts?

The filter will help, but it will be negligible unless you do other modifications,

I suggest you go with the the K&N. I have installed on my Durango just like yours; 04, Hemi.

I have the 77 Series one and this one is a beast! Greater and faster acceleration, I gained 4+ MPG, and the best and beastly part: the deeper sound of the engine.

Well i drive mostly on side street so I used to get get 10 now I get 12-15 on side street.

I average about 13 MPG as my daily commute is half street and half highway (MDS system). Engine modifications are for horsepower and torque gains, not necessarily for MPG gains in my opinion,

If one can get a few extra MPG out of one of the mods, that's definitely a bonus!
