Hi i just changed all the spark plugs on my v8 after we changed them all the car started idleing very high at about 1500 RPMs. I cant really drive it cause i have to ride my braks to do 35 on the road. The first place I would look would be vacuum lines and air intake. There are a number of parts that have to come off to get at the plugs, and in all likelyhood in disassembly or reassembly something either got cracked, or not put together quite right.
