2006 Dodge Durango is locked up in 4L- can't take it out?
It engaged it's self!

 

Try driving the vehicle at a slow speed and then turn the switch to AWD. You should not drive above 15 MPH (give or take a few) in 4low,

My switch is already in AWD. I was driving on the freeway when all of a sudden the car decided 4low would be better for me. I was able to get it off the freeway and park it. We tried to move the switch from AWD to 4WD to 4Low and then back to AWD but no sucess. We did disingage the neutral then reingage the neutral and were able to drive it home about 10miles away. Once we got it home and made our U-turn to park in front of our house it happened again. I have no idea what is going on and I'm not sure if I should take it to someone who works on transmissions or just a regular mechanic who works on everything.
