Inner Tie Rod failed inspection
2005 Durango. My inner tie rod drivers side needs to be replaced. I was told it would be around 180.00 but when they took it apart it didn't fit. Apparently there are two different steering racks available. One has replaceable inner tie rod and the other doesn't and I have the one that's not replaceable. So now I'm told I need to replace the steering rack which in around 700.00.
Is this true, it sound a little fishy to me.
