I'm having problem with my alarm. My key remote stops working after a day Iv'e reset it by unhooking my battery so now everytime I lock my door it sets the horn off have to put my key in ignition to disable or have to lock doors shut driver door then open it up with key and lock door manually from inside then shut door to disable alarm. its getting old----any suggestions with spending an arm and a leg!!!!!!!

is it an aftermarket alarm? if so, it sounds like faulty unit, or faulty install.

No.

A) Don't let battery get so old

B) Only should have to replace every 3-5 years

C) Dont let dead battery sit or have old battery out of the vehicle forever before putting the replacement back in.

Usually, you do NOT Have to have the system re-synced. Yours did/does.

So, are you saying you've removed the battery from the key fob completely?

The problem may be that the connections in the key to the battery are loose. Search for the other topic in this forum explaining how to solder the joints.
