05 durango navigation quit
Wondering if anyone has had this problem before. My nav system on my 05 limited just up and quit on me. The radio plays, the dvd system plays through the speakers. The screen doesn't work, the cd changer and player doesn't work.
I've checked all fuses under the hood, and in the passenger compartment, all seem good. Everything on the nav worked fine up till the other day when the screen just shut off. Other than that stupid joystick thing.
I have an aftermarket warranty, but of course, i found out that i have the package just under the one that would actually cover it
They cover the stupid trip computer mpg thing (they call it a navigation/trip computer).
Any ideas on how to fix it, or where i should look to find a hidden fuse? I really don't want to pay over $1k out of pocket for a replacement.

The dealer says there is a bad component in the Navigation system and that we need to replace it. They say it will cost $800. Something seems fishy here. Anyone else experience this problem with the unit? Seems like many people have had this problem.
I had the same problem with my wifes 05. First the joystick was broken (actually it was broken when we bought it a few months ago used). I was going to replace it myself with some instructions I found online. Then the screen went dead. After the screen went dead the radio is stuck on Sirius and cant be changed to any other option (am, fm, dvd). Only the presets and volume work.
I ended up buying a unit on ebay for $700 with a warranty. It came about a week or so ago and I havent had the time to put it in yet. I think the seller was oemradios, not 100% on that off the top of my head.
