When I start my 06 durango 4.7 it idles up and down between 1500 and 500 and also the dash light flickers at the same time. At times it idles too low and stalls or dies. When I keep my foot on the gas at a constant rate about 1500 rpm no flickering of the dash lights. I just replaced the map sensor and still idles the same. Is this a voltage problem or something else?

 

Check the throttle position sensor,

Could also be a dead/dying battery. Have the battery load tested.
