Exclamation Need help. 2004 durango 4.7

have a 2004 4.7 auto trans dodge durango. while driving the rpms while going from a stop light jumped from 800 to 2900 and this loud humming noise started and some vibration but subtle. i could feel that the trans was shifting but it took more time to get up to speed but still in the upper 2000's then would drop maybe a couple hundreds rpm. it has 140000k on it. checked the fluid level and its not burnt or smells and is at the proper level while running.

I am having a problem that when I first start my 2004/4.7 Durango of the morning, it feels like it is going to take off. The rmps go up like yours and then drops, then back up. After Big Red has been started and driven for a bit, she is fine till the next morning. Nothing is showing up on the computer when I take it in. At a complete loss.

throttle positioning sensor is correct, i have a 2005 dakota with the 4.7, did the same thing. come to a light, rpms would jump up, go down, 106.00 to replace. fixed the problem
