Default Inspection problem

Went to take the wifes 06 Durango in to get inspected today. Bought it a year ago and we are the second owners. The inspection was done the same month we bought it.

I take it in today and the service guy tells me that the (sorry Im car illiterate) thingy that they hook up too their computer has no power to it. He says he checked all the fuses and none were bad. Is there something else I should be looking for? Am I going to be hit with a costly fix?

Any help is much appreciated...

Thanks in advance,
goose

A new battery should be about $80.00. Does the Durango start?

a new battery? ..... sounds like your saying the OBD2 plug as no power... i believe there is a harness behind that.. it could just be a loose wire- or even a loose pin inside the connector.
all they have to do is check power behind the power by backprobeing

Yea, the OBD2 plug. Guess I will go try to dig out my test light and see what I can find.

Thanks,
