Default Over Charging issue on 07' Durango

My wife and I just bought a 07' Durango "Night Runner" edition. We are getting a over charging code therefore the battery light is on. I have HP Tuners and I scanned and deleted the code and it immediately came back on. So I checked the voltage and the battery with the key off is at 12.5v, with the D running it is a tad over 14v at 14.07 was the highest I seen it go, but it stayed at 13.7-13.9 the majority of time I was monitoring it. I even had my wife put it in drive and still noting abnormally high, 13.7ish.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking the alternator or computer. I'm not sure if the computer is the one in charge of the dummy light or not.

You can try to reset the system again with the battery disconnected. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and then put the key in the ignition to on (not run) for thirty seconds,

No engine codes, just the code for the charging system over charging
