Default Warning Chime Won't Turn Off

After turning off the engine and removing the key, I open the driver door and the key-in-iginition/lights on warning chime starts (even though key is not is the ignition and all lights are off). Has anyone else had this happen and can offer help?

Thanks!

Maybe try to rest the system by disconnecting the negative terminal on the battery for a few minutes,

if you use your lights and you turn off the engine before shutting them off put the key in again then turn them on then off with the key in on position

Make sure that your dimmer wheel next to the headlight switch is not rotated all the way down or up. I have found that either extreme position can cause the bell to ring.
