Default Front hub bearing assembly removal

I need help. I am replacing the front hub on my 2004 Durango 4.7 SLT 4x4. I have removed the caliper, rotor, axle nut, and the 3 bolts from the back side of the hub. Now it is STUCK beyond belief! I have hit, pryed, and anything I can think off. I have a huge puller that I got from work, but when I use it, the axle just pushed back. I don't want to put too much stress on the axle, joints, or tranny....so I gave up with the puller.

Any tips/tricks to getting this thing off? I need to fix it asap as I am leaving town and need to have it fixed for my wife so she isn't stuck at home next week!

This makes it sound like I need to remove the steering knuckle, then remove the hub from it, right? I was wondering if that was how to do it after staring at it for a long time (over several beers). If I remove the steering knuckle, will the hub come right out with some banging?

I've read several online guides, but none seem to tell me EXACTLY what to do for a 2004 Durango 4x4. They all seem to be more general in nature....

Any help will be appreciated. I'm done for the night and will pick it back up in the morning. I NEED to finish this tomorrow so my wife has her truck while I'm out of state for a few days starting Sunday.

Thanks in advance!
