Default 05 Durango electrical help needed

A couple of weeks ago the Durango wouldnt start, got a jump and everything was fine. About a week ago same thing again, i kinda attributed to cold weather coming and maybe a dead cell in the battery. Yesterday the battery died while wife was in the store, jumped it off and told her I would get a battery today. This morning it wouldnt start, jumped it off, was driving it to Advance and it cut off a few times at red lights, cranked back up. I started thinking alternator. Got to advance and got the guy to test it and he first prints out a reading that says the battery is good, he then ask me to start it. It wouldnt start and he test the battery again, now says it's not holding a charge. Ok, i tell him to put a new battery in, he does, $105. Then after he installs the battery he runs a system check. He says the check shows a current draw on the battery when everything is off. So i drive home get out a meter, pull the negative cable off and check voltage between neg battery post and the disconnected neg cable. Its been a long time since i messed with anything like this but i think its the correct way. It shows somewhere around 16 volts draw on the battery. I had my wife watch the meter and i removed all the relays and fuses one by one from both compartments under the hood and also in the kick panel in the drivers area. Nothing i removed made the draw go away. Does any one have any ideas of what may be causing this? Am I doing anything wrong? i am about to the end of my capabilities. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

He did say that he was going to check the alternator when he did the sysyem check after installing the battery, and while he was doing that he had me start the engine and rev to 2000 rpms and turn everything on and then back off. I am assuming this was the part when he was checking the alternator. I guess i never specifically asked if the alternator was good, because when i shut it down and came to the front he was telling me about the battery drain. But Im pretty sure that he checked it and it was ok.
